⏰ Timing Tips That Prevent Missed Pickups

    Set items out the evening before your pickup window starts — most city programs require items at the curb by 6:00 AM on the first day.
  • 📅
    Set a calendar reminder for the day before your pickup week. Zone schedules change yearly — verify your dates every January.
  • 🚗
    On pickup day, move your car from in front of the pile. Trucks need 10 feet of clearance from parked vehicles to operate the mechanical arm.
  • ☔
    Check the weather forecast. Set out upholstered items (if your city accepts them) only if the forecast is dry — wet foam and fabric are commonly rejected.
  • 📸
    Photograph your pile the morning of pickup day. Timestamped photos are evidence for missed pickup reports if the truck doesn't stop.
